 As I have continued to deepen my understanding of skin care at Formula Botanica, my coursework (Diploma In Organic Skincare) has yielded a greater insight into plants and herbs, their outstanding medicinal properties. As I discover their innate attributes I was pleasantly reminded of my grandmother’s simple and natural recipes in which she used similar herbs from our family garden at home for skin and hair. In fact, the relationship between modern natural skin care and our thousands of year’s proven ancient Ayurveda practice is surreal to say the least.

     
A career path in dentistry and with the prevailing school of modern science had limited my exposure to the science of ‘Ayurveda’ and the inherent qualities present in our plants and herbs. My curiosity took the better of me and I was keen to indulge- I just packed my bags and decided to travel to the hub of Ayurveda in Southern India i.e. “Kerala” a state in India which symbolizes our sheer diversity and is renowned for its colorful and equally breathtaking heritage. I travelled through Kannur, Thalasseri, Vayenad and Palakkad; completely humbled by the hospitality and warmth of the wonderful people who helped me in my quest of knowledge.

                                         DIRECTIONS

1) take adequate amount of cranberry mask into a bowl.

2) mix rose water/honey/water to the mask.

3) mix it well.

4) patch test first to ensure the reaction.

5) apply on your face.

6) leave for 15 minutes.

7) expect a slight tingling sensation.

8) rinse and pat your skin dry.

9) Follow with face balm or face oil.

10) now see your face did you see the difference?
